Empowering Tanzania’s Future: Young Women Scholarship Under Energy Efficiency Program
We’re delighted to announce a new scholarship program that will support the education of young women in Tanzania in the energy sector. In collaboration with the Ministry of Energy and in partnership with the Dar es Salaam Institute of Technology (DIT) and funded by the European Union (EU), this initiative is part of the Energy Efficiency Action Plan to promote a gender-responsive energy sector by developing the qualifications and skills of Tanzanians in Energy Management and Energy Audit, with a particular focus on women.
This scholarship is an important step towards promoting sustainable energy practices and achieving the country’s sustainable development goals. Women play a critical role in driving the transition to clean energy, both as consumers and leaders in the energy sector. By empowering women with the skills and knowledge needed, we can accelerate the shift towards a low-carbon economy.
The scholarship program will sponsor up to ten (10) young women to obtain a Master of Engineering in Sustainable Energy Engineering.
