Dar es Salaam, Tanzania – September 6, 2024 – In a significant stride towards advancing sustainable energy in Tanzania, the Ministry of Energy, in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and with financial support from the European Union (EU) and the Embassy of Ireland, today awarded a total of 250 million Tanzanian Shillings to 10 outstanding innovators. This support is part of the Energy Efficiency Innovation Challenge, an initiative designed to ignite sustainable energy practices and fuel groundbreaking solutions to combat energy inefficiency across the country, under the theme "Igniting Sustainable Energy Practices for a Greener Future."
